The food options were good, particularly the
Homemade dishes that captured the essence of local flavors. The ambiance was cute, filled with friendly locals. I did find the room initially chilly due to the heating system being on a timer.

Charming village atmosphere with extensive local character.
We encountered multiple issues . The room was cold upon arrival, and it took time to get the heating functional. The unstable door lock from the outside left us feeling insecure, and waking up to cobwebs and spiders in the room was unsettling. The shower temperature control was faulty.

Cozy charm with quirky touches
The Fountain at Tuxford offers a good country pub atmosphere with friendly staff and a delicious selection of homemade dishes. The garden view from our room was a pleasant surprise, and the efficient check-in process only added to the positive experience.
The room had its share of challenges. Issues like a poorly functioning shower temperature control and some unfinished decor elements revealed a lack of attention to detail that detracted from our stay. The inability to lock the door from inside.
